Breve descrizione dei contenuti:
Sticky platelet syndrome (SPS) is a plausible but often disputed condition that is said to reflect hereditary platelet hyperreactivity that can potentially lead to a prothrombotic risk. SPS is strongly believed in by a small cohort of some very active research teams, but is met with general skepticism by the majority of mainstream thrombosis researchers. In support of World Thrombosis Day, held annually on October 13, the day this Commentary was completed, and as prompted by a recent report in another journal, we decided to revisit SPS.
