Irvine Homi Patalwala is a PhD student at the Department of Engineering for Innovation Medicine at the University of Verona, under the supervision of Prof. Franco Fummi. He earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics from South Gujarat University and Master’s degrees in mathematics from University of Pune, Master's degree in financial mathematics from M. S. University of Baroda and Masters's degree in mathematical engineering from University of L'Aquila.
His research focuses on the development of ontologies to support the validation of industrial production recipes modeled in SysML v2. Irvine’s research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, ontology, knowledge graphs, algorithms, databases, data science, set theory and logic, category theory, combinatorics, modern algebra, mathematical modeling, simulation, optimization, scientific computing, computational mathematics, probability, statistics, stochastic processes, stochastic differential equations, measure theory, and financial mathematics.
